  Hello, my name is Lauren Walls. I am a proud kindergarten teacher at Symington Elementary School. Here are some things about me that you might not have known before.

  I graduated, to start my dream career and passion, with a major in Elementary Education from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. I also have earned a certification in Early Childhood Education.

  My family and I grew up here in Kansas City, which is what lured me back to this fine city to look for a teaching position. I have been at Symington sense January 2009 and I’ve loved every experience. I have learned so much and look forward to learning even more in the future. 

  I truly have a passion for teaching and treasure what I do. I pride myself on being a student centered teacher that lives and breathes to better classroom learning. I strive to develop my abilities so that my students have the best chance of success. My goal is to empower all students to achieve their maximum learning potential. This is done by building a community of trust that ensures safety for success. I also understand the importance of students and parent communication, and the need to build a smooth running and happy community.

  I'm lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of the solution for all students of Symington Accelerated Elementary School.
